Is there a doc on how name resolution is done?

I am working on Andhra Mandal election data and would like to standardize names between that dataset and Assembly/Parlimentary data. And I have been looking for some formal set of rules or standard to follow without much luck. Just curious how this project is doing it and if its documented? Thanks!

I wanted to have some idea of what it did before installing Eclipse/Tomcat etc. But thanks for your message found the WebContent/user-manual.jsp. I was using openrefine and reconciling against wikidata. But the lack of data there and hand coding various rules was taking a whole lot of time. Looks like you guys have climbed that mountain already! Glad I found the project. Very helpful to see the process and steps laid out.

Maybe that user-manual text can be moved into the Readme.md. It will give others a good idea about the name resolution process when they stumble onto the project page like me.
